Marquette, MI – May 18, 2017 – Big news! We’re going to be exhibitionist!
Earlier this month we decided to enter in the Northern Lights Exhibition contest through Crooked Tree Art Center, in Traverse City, Michigan. The juried contest was open to residents of Michigan with a professional and amateur categories.
I recently found out that all three pictures submitted for the professional category have been accepted! I’ll be taking a trip down state to drop off the three large metal prints for the exhibition later this month. The show will start at Crooked Tree on June 8 and run through August 2nd where all three pieces will be on display for sale!
The images I choose, two from my recent trip to Iceland and one a solar storm this past April in Michigan, are some of my favorite aurora shots!
If you’re in the Traverse City area, check out the show and see all of the talent artists accepted. You’ll also want to view the Monte Nagler: Visions of Light exhibit, a collection of photographic work by Michigan’s own Monte Nagler, a former student of Ansel Adams!
